Meeting other parents and children
  • We organise play groups and social events in most communes in Brussels and surrounding areas. Groups of parents and babies and toddlers meet weekly to chat and play.
  • Many other activities take place  at the BCT’s premises in Imagine, at Wezembeek-Oppem.
  • We also run special events, such as our popular Summer and Christmas Fundays and twice-yearly Nearly New Sales.

Helping prepare for labour/parenthood
  • Our prenatal courses are run by qualified prenatal teachers.  The courses are an ideal way for small groups of pregnant mums and their partners to gain confidence about labour and becoming a parent. They are also a great place to meet other parents-to-be.
  • Our monthly Pregnancy in Belgium evenings give a practical overview of options for maternity care and support in Belgium.

Supporting you post-birth
  • You can ask for help and advice from trained breastfeeding counsellors and bottle feeding supporters.
  • Experienced mums are also on hand to be a friend and to give moral support.

Receiving pregnancy and parenting information
  • We publish a magazine 10 times a year with articles of relevance to young families living here in Belgium and to keep members informed about our activities.
  • You can ring our information helpline if you want to find out about particular doctors, midwives or hospitals.
  • We also have a well-stocked library of books on pregnancy and parenting.
  • Finally you will also have access to priveleged information on the BCT website.
